Mass Effect 1 Legendary Edition Bullet Review
Overview and Facts:
- Originally it was a trilogy but later a fourth game was released
- There is a DLC missing from the Legendary Edition that was present in the original. It is named Pinnacle Station
Pros:
- Runs well on every hardware, including Steam Deck
- Nice improvement over the original
- Very cheap to buy at the moment. Got the Physical version 15€ for practically three full games, plus DLCs
- Very good controls using both controller and keyboard + mouse
- Energy instead of bullets on weapons makes you use multiple weapons and not stick to one
- Nice story, if you like space futuristic adventures
- Great variety of choices in game, regarding story. Can make "good", "bad", or "balanced" play through
- Choices follow you through games (if you make a choice on ME1 the same remains on ME2, including killing NPCs). So choices do matter
Cons:
- Running makes me wanna puke and its hard to control
- Low variety on weapons
- Weapons are the same on all levels (same weapon on level 1 to 10)
- Inventory management and item equip is bad
- Quests are hard to track
- Main city (Citadel) is confusing to navigate
- Bad face expressions (Common on BioWare games)
- You have to play all three games to see the story. If you only play the first one it feels unfinished
Verdict:
Its a nice start for the trilogy and you should not mind the negatives since many of them get addressed on the second entry in the series. If like Sci-fi content you should definitely try it.
★Personal Score: Positive: 70 (Played on Xbox one S)
